Binary Defense is in search of a skilled SOC Analyst with extensive experience in Google Security Command Center. This role is designed to be performed remotely.
Key Responsibilities- Continuously monitor and analyze security alerts to identify potential threats affecting our clients during your assigned shifts in our 24/7 security operations center.
- Conduct Cyber Kill Chain and MITRE ATT&CK assessments on incoming security notifications.
- Adhere to established protocols to effectively triage and respond to detected malicious activities, including escalation and remediation processes.
- Deliver clear and concise written reports of investigations within the Binary Defense service management system.
- Engage and collaborate with Binary Defense clients throughout the duration of all escalated security inquiries.
- Contribute to overall security operations across the Binary Defense client portfolio through escalations and regular communications.
- Participate in internal meetings, such as shift handovers and team discussions, to foster collaboration and knowledge sharing among team members.
- Engage in ongoing training to remain proficient in the latest technologies and methodologies, with sponsorship from Binary Defense.
- Stay informed about the latest vulnerabilities, threats, and global attack trends.
- Work collaboratively with your colleagues and maintain a strong team-oriented approach.
- Bachelor's Degree in Cyber Security or equivalent professional experience.
- Understanding of network and endpoint security principles, current threats, vulnerabilities, and attack trends. Analysts should possess a working knowledge of security principles and frameworks such as Cyber Kill Chain and MITRE ATT&CK.
- Ability to operate at a high technical level and effectively identify threats and attack vectors.
- Possession of one or more Cybersecurity certifications.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience with Security Information Event Management (SIEM) platforms, specifically Google Security Command Center.
- Familiarity with Endpoint Protection platforms, including CrowdStrike, Carbon Black, SentinelOne, and Cybereason.
- A commitment to continuous learning and skill enhancement.
