Job Overview

Security 101 is seeking a skilled Commercial Security Systems Technician with a strong background in servicing commercial security solutions, particularly focusing on IP network systems and comprehensive security setups for both new installations and upgrades to existing systems.

Compensation

The hourly wage ranges from $28.00 to $31.00, classified as non-exempt, and is based on your expertise, product knowledge, and experience. Required Skills and Qualifications
  • A minimum of 2 years' experience in servicing and programming commercial access control, IP-based video systems, and intrusion alarm systems.
  • At least 2 years' experience in troubleshooting and programming networked access control and IP video systems, including working with customer networks.
  • Alternative experience in roles such as a multi-site Network Support Specialist is also considered.
  • Proficient in providing remote diagnostics support with a focus on customer satisfaction.
  • Essential knowledge and hands-on experience with internet and networking technologies.
  • Ability to work independently and resolve issues effectively.
  • A valid driving license and a clean motor vehicle record are required.
  • Current certifications in systems such as Honeywell Pro-Watch, Genetec, C-Cure 9000, Lenel, Openpath, Exacq, AMAG, or Milestone are advantageous.

Key Responsibilities
  • Service, troubleshoot, program, and test enterprise security systems with minimal oversight.
  • Possess knowledge of access control, IP video surveillance, intrusion detection, and visitor management systems.
  • Troubleshoot and program networked IP video systems.
  • Troubleshoot and program networked access control systems.
  • Service commercial intrusion alarm systems and other IoT-connected devices.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service when interacting with clients.
Educational Requirements
  • High School diploma or GED is the minimum requirement.
  • Preferred candidates will have electronics training from a technical school or military training in electronics or communications.
