Position Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Access Control Technician to become a vital part of our expanding team. Our diverse group operates in high-rise buildings, commercial properties, and community facilities, focusing on the installation of electronic access control systems, hardware, and conducting both preventative and corrective maintenance on electronic and mechanical gate systems. This role offers a unique chance to contribute to our company’s objectives while engaging in a collaborative and dynamic work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair electronic access control systems and related hardware.
  • Conduct preventative maintenance on electronic systems and equipment.
  • Install card readers, sensors, door hardware, and control boards for access control systems.
  • Maintain and repair automatic or electrically operated door systems and hardware.
  • Implement and practice fundamental skills in manual and electronic locking systems and CCTV security devices.
  • Utilize access control software and mobile applications for programming, troubleshooting, and generating reports.
  • Adjust hardware related to doors and gates to ensure proper functionality.
  • Stay updated with industry best practices and advancements.
  • Respond to service calls across various environments.
  • Handle after-hours emergency calls as necessary.
  • Other duties may be assigned as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Possession of a valid Florida Driver's License with a clean driving record.
  • Demonstrated strong work ethic and high energy levels.
  • IT skills are advantageous; training will be provided for the right candidate.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Able to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies.
  • Previous customer service experience is a plus but not mandatory.

This position is contract-to-hire with a 90-day probationary period. Standard working hours are typically from 8 AM to 5 PM.
