Job Summary

Metro Physical & Aquatic Therapy is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Front Desk Coordinator to join our team. As a key member of our administrative staff, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, managing patient records, and ensuring the smooth operation of our front desk.

Key Responsibilities
  • Welcoming patients and visitors with a warm and inviting smile, answering inquiries, and referring calls to the appropriate staff member.
  • Demonstrating a high level of customer service at all times, ensuring patient satisfaction, provider time, and treatment room utilization by scheduling appointments in person or by telephone.
  • Generating reports, logs, and lists with high accuracy, including authorization and verification documents.
  • Ensuring co-pays are tallied and reconciled, controlling credit extended to patients, and maintaining business office inventory and equipment.
  • Communicating with treating physicians to obtain updated prescriptions for treatment by Occupational and Physical Therapists.
  • Obtaining Plan of Care from treating physicians and updating the system.
  • Setting up new and returning patient cases in Theraoffice, including obtaining demographic information and insurance details.
  • Notifying clinicians of patient arrival, reviewing service delivery compared to schedule, and reminding providers of service delays.
  • Maintaining patient confidentiality and adhering to HIPAA guidelines and regulations.
Requirements
  • One year of medical office experience preferred.
  • Experience with EMR systems a plus.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work well within a team environment.
  • Proficiency in Google Suite and ability to learn new programs quickly.
  • High school diploma or GED required.
