Residence Life Coordinator

Washington & Jefferson College seeks a highly motivated and student-centered Residence Life Coordinator to join our team. As a key member of the Office of Residence Life, this professional staff member will be responsible for fostering a supportive, inclusive, and learning-focused experience within campus residence halls.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee the daily housing operation of campus residence halls, including first-year student housing, theme housing, and upper-class student housing.
- Provide leadership and facilitate major campus housing initiatives, such as move-in, winter hall closing, spring semester hall opening, and end-of-year closing.
- Supervise and train a staff of Resident Assistants and implement the Residential Learning & Engagement Framework within the defined campus housing area.
- Provide direct support to students and collaborate with faculty and staff to make appropriate referrals using communication and documentation tools.
- Facilitate weekly RA staff team and one-to-one meetings, and work collaboratively with campus partners to support departmental, divisional, and college-wide initiatives.
- Serve as a member of the Administrator On-Call team responding to urgent and emergency student needs on campus.
- Bachelor's Degree required, Master's Degree preferred.
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- An intentional focus on relationship building and all aspects of student learning and development.
- Proven ability to effectively organize, prioritize, and administer work in the face of competing commitments.
- A true commitment to working as part of a supportive and collaborative Residence Life team.
