Job Title: Residency Program Coordinator

Howard University Hospital is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Residency Program Coordinator to join our Dermatology department. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our residency program.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the recruitment process for postgraduate training, including screening applicants, scheduling interviews, and maintaining files.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and hospital regulations, including immigration status and licensure requirements.
  • Maintain accurate records and databases, including ERAS and statistical reports.
  • Coordinate orientation and re-orientation activities for new and returning resident physicians.
  • Serve as a liaison between various departments and stakeholders, including licensure and medical boards, residency review committees, and medical schools.
  • Provide administrative support, including responding to correspondence, screening telephone calls, and preparing documents.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Health Services Administration, or three years of administrative experience.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
