Rescar Companies is a leading provider of railcar repair and maintenance services with a strong commitment to customer satisfaction and safety.

We offer a competitive compensation package, including a base salary of $75,000 to $90,000, with annual reviews and opportunities for advancement. Job Summary:

The Location Manager will oversee all operational duties at our facility, including the management of 5-10 employees, while balancing the demands of Rescar customers, with safety, financial, and operational goals established by Rescar.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Safety and Compliance: Ensure all employees wear personal protective equipment (PPE) and lead by example to ensure that all employees meet or exceed Rescar safety standards.
  • Training and Development: Train employees as required and assist in repairs or replacement of defective or worn components on railcars, including truck assembly, safety appliances, brake systems, wheels, coupler, and draft systems.
  • Work Order Management: Ensure that all work orders and administrative forms confirming work are signed and completed as required.
  • Employee Scheduling: Manage employee work schedules to ensure all work is performed per time standards and efficiency goals as established by Rescar.
  • Work Environment: Maintain a clean, safe, and productive work environment for all employees.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Ensure all equipment is properly maintained and in safe working order for the location prior to use.
  • Quality Standards: Ensure quality standards on all work performed.
  • Financial Performance: Manage the operation to meet or exceed Rescar financial goals.

Requirements:

  • 1-2 years of railcar repair or related field work experience preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Management experience in rail or manufacturing preferred.

Work Environment and Conditions:

Candidates must be able to perform the following physical tasks:

  • Working around heavy moving equipment
  • Work outdoors in all weather conditions
  • Work in high places and confined areas
  • Climb, squat, bend, twist, and regularly lift up to 50 pounds or more to accomplish work tasks
  • Use of respirator as required
  • Minimal travel at Rescar request

Managers must complete pre-employment background check, drug test, and physical upon hire.
