We are seeking a dedicated Facilities Maintenance Technician to join our team at Bethesda Home of Aberdeen. This role is essential in ensuring the upkeep and functionality of our facilities, providing a safe and pleasant environment for our residents.
Key ResponsibilitiesEssential Duties:
- Report directly to the Maintenance Supervisor for daily assignments and scheduling.
- Execute routine maintenance tasks efficiently and professionally.
- Adhere to established procedures for specific maintenance assignments.
- Assist with special projects as directed by the Maintenance Supervisor.
- Oversee the work of external contractors as necessary.
- Perform a variety of maintenance tasks including carpentry, electrical work, plumbing, and mechanical repairs.
- Monitor the building automation system, identifying and reporting issues promptly.
- Ensure timely completion of all maintenance service requests.
- Provide on-call maintenance services as scheduled.
- Maintain the aesthetics of the campus through grounds upkeep as directed.
- Notify the Administrator and Maintenance Supervisor of any unusual incidents or damages.
- Renovate vacant units as instructed by the Maintenance Supervisor.
- Conduct inspections and maintenance on HVAC systems, roof motors, and fans.
- Ensure the efficient operation of boilers, performing tests and maintenance as required.
- Manage the functionality of the water softener and maintain appropriate salt levels.
- Coordinate maintenance activities with nursing and other departments as needed.
- Be prepared for a flexible work schedule to ensure facility safety and operational efficiency.
- Complete additional maintenance tasks as assigned by the Maintenance Supervisor.
Starting Pay: $16.00 per hour; compensation is commensurate with experience.
