Job Summary

The Vice President for Development Strategy and Major Gifts will play a key role in shaping the fundraising strategy for Hispanic Federation, a leading Latino nonprofit organization. This senior-level position will oversee all aspects of fundraising, including major gifts, foundation relations, and corporate partnerships.

The successful candidate will have a proven track record of meeting or exceeding fundraising goals, with a strong background in managing high-net-worth individuals, foundation and corporate relations, online outreach, and direct mail campaigns. Experience in supervising and managing a geographically distributed team is also essential.

The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker with a passion for connecting people with a mission and its programs. They will possess outstanding communication skills, including the ability to articulate the organization's mission to donors and prospects in a compelling way.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive fundraising strategy to meet annual goals
  • Manage and supervise a team of development professionals, including grant writers and fundraisers
  • Build and maintain relationships with major donors, foundation and corporate partners
  • Design and implement fundraising events and campaigns
  • Develop and manage budgets and forecasts for fundraising initiatives
  • Provide analysis and reporting on fundraising performance
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field, with a minimum of 8 years of fundraising experience
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding fundraising goals
  • Strong background in managing high-net-worth individuals, foundation and corporate relations, online outreach, and direct mail campaigns
  • Experience in supervising and managing a geographically distributed team
  • Outstanding communication skills, including the ability to articulate the organization's mission to donors and prospects
