Emergency Services Director

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Emergency Services Director to join our team at the University of New Mexico - Hospitals. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for overseeing the overall operations of our emergency services department, ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care, and driving strategic initiatives to improve patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement departmental policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and hospital standards.
- Collaborate with clinical and administrative teams to ensure seamless patient care and efficient operations.
- Lead and manage a team of healthcare professionals, providing guidance, coaching, and development opportunities to enhance their skills and performance.
- Monitor and analyze departmental performance metrics, identifying areas for improvement and implementing strategies to address them.
- Develop and manage departmental budgets, ensuring effective resource allocation and fiscal responsibility.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and regulatory requirements, applying this knowledge to drive continuous improvement and excellence in patient care.
- Master's degree in a related field (e.g., nursing, healthcare administration, business administration).
- At least 5 years of experience in a leadership role in emergency services or a related field.
- Proven track record of success in improving patient outcomes, reducing costs, and enhancing operational efficiency.
- Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
