Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Instrument Technician to join our team at Northwestern Medicine. As a key member of our clinical staff, you will be responsible for cleaning, sterilizing, and packaging instruments for various procedures. Your attention to detail and ability to work efficiently will ensure the highest quality patient care.

Responsibilities
  • Conscientiously clean and sterilize instruments to maintain a sterile environment.
  • Accurately maintain comprehensive quality assurance standards related to sterilization and infection control.
  • Operate within established sterilization procedures to ensure effective and efficient processing.
  • Determine whether each piece of equipment is in correct working condition and meets stringent sterility criteria.
  • Maintain adequate levels of reserve supplies for routine use and emergency situations.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Preferred: 1 year of healthcare experience and knowledge in sterilization processes.
