Instrumentation Controls Specialist

Job Summary:
Ecolab is seeking a skilled Instrumentation Controls Specialist to join our team. As an Instrumentation Controls Specialist, you will be responsible for providing expertise in troubleshooting and maintenance of instrumentation and electrical controls in a manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide technical support for the installation, calibration, and maintenance of instrumentation and electrical controls systems.
- Troubleshoot and repair complex instrumentation and electrical control systems.
- Specify, order, and install new instrumentation and electrical control systems as part of projects.
- Configure and calibrate Hart instruments using a HART communicator.
- Run conduit, pull cable, and install pneumatic tubing, as well as pull control valves for repair.
- Responsible for Preventative Maintenance, calibration, and associated record-keeping of instrumentation.
- Work with Maintenance Mechanics to assist in repairs and during large shutdowns.
- Ensure proper Lock Out Tag Out procedures are being followed prior to beginning work.
- Maintain proper instrument, calibration, PM, and work order records.
- Maintain instrument and PLC spare parts inventory and keep maintenance shop organized and clean.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 2-5 years of experience in troubleshooting and maintenance of instrumentation/electrical controls in the manufacturing industry or related field, plus Instrumentation Technology Certification/Associates Degree.
- No Immigration Sponsorship available for this opportunity.
Physical Demands:
- Must be able to lift/carry 50lbs.
- Must be able to physically perform the essential duties of the position, which include lifting, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, balancing, walking, standing, talking, and hearing.
- Must be able to work from man-lifts, scaffolds, mezzanines, and ladders.
- Must be able to wear a respirator under certain conditions.
- Must be able to pass a drug screen and physical exam.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge of SAP, eMaint, or another maintenance management system.
- Knowledge of calibration management systems.
- Ability to work well in a team environment.
- Previous experience with DCS or PLCs.
- Experience with ISO and PSM procedures.
- Good communication and time management skills.
- Ability to work in a team or independently.
