About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Instrumentation Specialist to join our team at Sargent & Lundy. As a key member of our Instrumentation and Controls Engineering department, you will play a critical role in the design, development, and implementation of advanced instrumentation and controls systems for our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop complex instrumentation and controls systems for power plants, including digital systems, PLCs, and DCSs.
  • Collaborate with project teams to ensure seamless integration of systems and meet client requirements.
  • Develop and maintain detailed specifications, calculations, and design packages for instrumentation and controls systems.
  • Interface with vendors to procure equipment and materials, and ensure compliance with client specifications.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to less experienced engineers, and participate in professional Communities of Practice to enhance your skills and knowledge.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
  • At least 7 years of experience in the design engineering of instrumentation and controls systems in a project team environment for commercial and industrial applications.
  • Proven expertise in controls system design, including applications for low and medium voltage distribution systems and controls for equipment such as turbines, pumps, and feedwater controls.
  • PE license is preferred.
