About the Role

Fairlife, a leading dairy nutrition company, is seeking a highly skilled Senior Processing Manager to oversee our 24/7 processing operations. This critical role will drive results through the implementation of process standards and rigor, while empowering creative thinking and promoting a decentralized command environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Development: Takes responsibility for the training and development of their full staff, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and growth.
  • Culture and Standards: Cultivates a culture focused on zero losses through standardization and loss elimination, ensuring a modern and collaborative work environment.
  • Operations Management: Responsible for leading and managing plant operations within our processing department, overseeing strategic projects, initiatives, and programs.
  • Performance and Results: Responsible for the results of the processing department, establishing and cascading Key Performance Indicators throughout the department.
  • Inventory and Production: Reviews inventories and production plans daily with our dairy planner and scheduling manager, coordinating schedule demands with staff and product movement personnel.
  • Capital Projects: Sponsors key capital project and commercialization projects relevant to the processing department.
  • Quality Assurance: Reviews all nonconforming products or ingredients with Quality Assurance Manager.
  • Compliance and Safety: Monitors processing department throughout shifts and assures employee compliance with GMP's, sanitation, and safety.
  • Maintenance and Budgeting: Partners with our Maintenance Manager to ensure all equipment stays in good working condition and builds and manages the department's budget within financial targets.
  • Team Management: Manages team members across a 24/7 operation.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Experience: Minimum of 5+ years of aseptic or ESL manufacturing experience, with a preference for the dairy industry.
  • Education: Bachelor's Degree (Engineering, Food Science, or Dairy Science preferred) with proven knowledge of process flow and fluid mass balance.
  • Regulatory Knowledge: Working knowledge of regulatory food requirements, including PMO, PCQI, and FSMA.
  • Leadership and Communication: Proven experience working directly with FDA/USDA and/or other Federal/State regulatory agencies, with strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Continuous Improvement: Continuous Improvement mindset, including root cause analysis, strategic planning, Lean, or TPM principles.
  • Production and Scheduling: Ability to meet production schedules with shifting priorities.
  • Cleaning and CIP/COP: Understanding the chemistry of cleaning and CIP/COP programs.
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to sit/stand/walk for prolonged periods or time, lift up to 50 lbs., and perform reaching/bending requirements.
