In this role, you will operate with minimal oversight and collaborate with some of the industry's most skilled engineers.

Your contributions will be vital in the evolution of next-generation products through the design, testing, and validation of products and processes from initial prototype to market readiness.

As part of a dedicated team of professionals, you will provide specialized knowledge to ensure the successful execution of intricate engineering projects while mentoring less experienced engineers.

You will engage with both internal and external stakeholders to ensure that products are completed according to client specifications.


Key Responsibilities:

Lead global, cross-functional engineering teams in the systems-level development of electrical hardware for sophisticated gas detection instruments.

Implement a comprehensive life cycle development process encompassing requirements gathering, design, development, testing, and product release. Maintain excellent documentation and possess a strong background in experimental design.

Utilize schematic capture software for the design, simulation, prototyping, and testing of circuits, boards, and hardware.

Design hardware to efficiently manage power from AC mains to low voltage DC.

Participate in risk analysis reviews, including DFMEA and PFMEA, quality audits, and troubleshooting of field returns.

Identify and propose opportunities for cost reduction and yield enhancement.

Facilitate the integration of products into corporate management ERP systems, including managing ECN change notices in a manufacturing context.

Support change management initiatives while effectively navigating a multi-tasking environment with potentially conflicting objectives.


Compensation & Benefits:

Non-Incentive Salary Range: $98,400 - $123,000. For detailed benefits information, please refer to the company benefits page.


Qualifications:

YOU MUST HAVE:
Bachelor's degree in a technical field such as science, technology, engineering, or mathematics from an accredited institution.
Minimum of 2 years of engineering experience in cross-functional product development. Proven team-building and communication skills across various functional teams, including Mechanical, Regulatory, Quality, Service, and Marketing.
At least 2 years of experience with eCAD modeling and simulation, prototyping, and debugging. Knowledge of design for regulatory compliance, including CE - EMC.

WE VALUE:
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
Experience with DxDesigner/Xpedition Schematic Capture.
Familiarity with DAQ and signal conditioning applications.
Embedded software development in C++ and/or EE hardware development using ECAD tools.
Knowledge of communication protocols such as LoRa and Bluetooth.
Experience in designing test fixtures and using LabVIEW or other testing software applications.
Project management skills and the ability to work collaboratively with global teams.
Experience in developing toxic gas detection systems.
Familiarity with six sigma methodologies.
