Key Responsibilities

The following outlines the primary duties associated with this role, which may be further developed at the discretion of the organization to enhance service delivery:

  • Oversee and support lean initiatives driven by client feedback.
  • Guide teams in assessing current workflows for effectiveness, quality, and simplification.
  • Investigate manufacturing challenges and modify existing and production systems as necessary.
  • Design and implement process improvements to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Establish internal Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and communicate findings.
  • Support and implement strategic initiatives to improve internal quality protocols and performance.
  • Provide technical support during the early phases of new programs and pilot projects.
  • Evaluate and endorse the adoption and integration of new measurement and other tools.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Design Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Supply Chain, and production to promote continuous improvement strategies.
  • Ensure comprehensive measurement systems for accurate verification of critical features.
  • Encourage best practices and validation methodologies.
  • Identify root causes and implement solutions for process-related challenges.
  • Facilitate part and product transitions, onboarding new suppliers, and managing supplier process modifications.
  • Oversee and conduct informal evaluations of quality systems to ensure compliance with internal standards.
  • Initiate Internal Corrective Actions and guarantee their effective execution.
  • Provide ongoing product support to Manufacturing for assigned projects.
  • Address supplier quality issues as necessary. Follow up and resolve complaints lodged against suppliers.
  • Participate in Material Review Board (MRB) meetings to address action items.
  • Perform additional responsibilities and projects as assigned.
Ideal Candidate Profile

Qualifications and Experience
  • Bachelor of Science degree (Preferred: Industrial Engineering).
  • More than 5 years of experience in a hydraulic systems or similar manufacturing environment with an ISO or QS9000 quality framework; ASQ CQE certification is a plus.
  • Strong technical foundation and practical problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills are essential.
  • Proficient in Failure Mode and Effects Analysis, Measurement System Analysis, and Root Cause Analysis.
  • Skilled in collaborating with diverse teams.
  • Comprehensive understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
  • Proficient in Minitab, AutoCAD, and ProE (Creo).
