Key Responsibilities- Installation and Service: Perform the installation and service of machines and associated products and equipment, ensuring that all work is completed to the highest standards.
- Technical Support: Provide technical assistance to customers, resolving technical problems and issues related to machine maintenance and repair.
- Preventative Maintenance: Complete preventative and corrective maintenance tasks of a high degree of complexity, with minimal technical assistance.
- Problem-Solving: Identify problems and seek corrective action during the early product life cycle, ensuring that all issues are resolved in a timely and efficient manner.
- Training and Development: Conduct training for both team members and customers on the safe operations, maintenance, and preventative maintenance of machines and related equipment.
- Communication: Provide a communication link between the customer and the company, ensuring that effective service is provided to the customer.
- Reporting: Accurately complete all reports in a timely manner, as per the service department procedures.
- Education: Associate's Degree in mechanical and/or electrical engineering from a University or Technical College.
- Experience: Over 6 years' experience with a similar manufacturing or machine tool company, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Skills: Knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office Systems, including Excel and Microsoft Word. Knowledge of Great Plains or similar software program helpful.
- Other: Must hold a valid driver's license and be able to travel to customer sites as required. Foreign languages such as French and Spanish may be an advantage.
