  • Execute the setup and maintenance of machinery and related equipment.

  • Diagnose issues and implement corrective measures during the initial stages of product deployment.
  • Investigate and resolve application-related challenges, collaborating with Applications for more intricate issues to enhance technical understanding.
  • Address machining difficulties by evaluating routine test cuts in accordance with technical specifications.
  • Assist in urgent situations such as 'Customer Alert' or 'Hot Customer' by supplying relevant technical insights and maintaining regular communication with all stakeholders.
  • Offer technical support to Field Service Engineers on critical and complex challenges.
  • Facilitate training sessions for colleagues and clients on safe operation, maintenance, and preventative care of machinery and associated equipment.
  • Act as a liaison between clients and the organization to ensure optimal service delivery.
  • Timely completion of all documentation in line with service department protocols.
  • Comply with the Service Department Code of Conduct.
  • Maintain consistent communication with the Diagnostics Team and Advanced Technical Support to receive assignments and provide updates.
  • Support the Regional Service Manager in supervising the activities of junior Field Service Engineers.

Essential Qualifications

  • Associate's Degree in mechanical or electrical engineering from an accredited institution; over 6 years of relevant experience in a manufacturing or machine tool environment; or a suitable combination of education and experience.
  • Proficient in using testing equipment and familiar with EDM and/or Milling Machines.
  • Extensive experience with pneumatic, hydraulic, electrical, mechanical, and computer systems.
  • Knowledge of Heidenhain Control Systems, including i530/i620/i640, and experience with 5-axis kinematic setups and 3D rotation.
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings and schematics.
  • Experience with Fanuc Control and Heidenhain Control tuning is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with testing equipment and comprehensive knowledge of milling machines and related products.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Experience with Great Plains or similar software applications.
  • Professional demeanor with strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Dedication to delivering exceptional customer service.
