What you will do

In the Fixed Income division, our technology team operates in a vibrant, fast-paced environment, with exciting developments on the horizon under new leadership.

We are currently undergoing a technological transformation to construct a new platform on Cloud/AWS from the ground up.

The ideal candidate for this position will take ownership of and execute the data strategy aimed at the placement and implementation of our investment and distribution data across enterprise data lakes, data warehouses, and both transactional and NoSQL databases.

This role will enhance how data and applications are accessed globally.

On a micro level, this position will involve collaboration with Database Administrators on best practices for database optimization to enhance query and write performance.

This will be a pivotal role in our new technical initiative and will report to Business Systems Analysis. If this aligns with your interests, Prudential could be the right fit for you.

This position is performed in a hybrid manner, combining work from our office and remote settings.

Our organization embraces a hybrid work structure where employees collaborate in the office on designated days and can work remotely for the remainder of the week.

Office attendance is encouraged for tasks requiring high collaboration and may be necessary during specific group events.
What you can expect
Utilize your knowledge of business analysis principles and SDLC methodologies to support business initiatives and system enhancements.
Act as a liaison between business users, internal systems teams, and external vendors, initiating and managing projects, addressing production issues, and overseeing vendor/system releases.

Engage with internal business areas to gather end-user requirements, understanding the objectives or goals of various processes, offerings, or practices.

Demonstrate the ability to lead projects; refine user stories, identify project risks, and coordinate implementation activities, including training and documentation of business process changes.

Conduct business process reviews and document current business and system workflows, recommending future state workflow changes in collaboration with business users, vendors, and IT when applicable.

Proactively identify areas for enhancement and introduce innovative recommendations, considering customer needs, external approaches, data analytics, and industry best practices.

Stay informed about industry initiatives, regulatory requirements, and market trends that impact the business to continuously improve efficiencies and ensure regulatory compliance.

What you will bring
10+ years of Business Analysis experience, particularly in Investment Management, with a focus on Fixed Income.
Demonstrated expertise in various SDLC and application development methodologies, including Agile, Waterfall, and DevOps.
Experience with Blackrock Aladdin system and Green Package Data Sets.

Strong analytical skills with the ability to make independent recommendations and decisions, developing creative solutions to support business strategies.

Ability to evaluate current processes and propose change-driven solutions to enhance business outcomes.

Proven capability to structure SQL queries, understand stored procedures, and experience with Business Intelligence Reporting tools and relational database models.

Proficiency in MS SQL Server, Tableau.
Excellent relationship management skills and confidence in engaging directly with business partners and technical resources.
Strong organizational skills with a proven ability to manage multiple projects concurrently in a demanding, fast-paced environment.
Meticulous attention to detail and ability to document complex workflows.
Demonstrated leadership qualities and collaboration skills.
What will set you apart?
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Statistics, Economics, Computer Science, or Information Technology.
Proven experience in database design and development.
Familiarity with Jira and Confluence is a plus.
Experience with Python is advantageous.
Knowledge of Market Data Service Providers.
