ROLE SUMMARY:The Human Resources Manager will oversee the daily operations of the Human Resources department, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations. This role involves managing recruitment processes, employee onboarding, benefits administration, payroll oversight, and maintaining personnel documentation.
QUALIFICATIONS:Essential:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent from an accredited institution.
- Three to five years of experience in human resources.
- Self-driven, adaptable, and detail-oriented with a good sense of humor.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with experience presenting data to senior management.
- Integrity and a commitment to the mission of the organization.
- Strategic thinker with a proactive approach to legal compliance.
- Ability to demonstrate empathy while enforcing company policies.
Preferred:
- Experience in non-profit organizations.
- Background in Administrative Management.
- Update and maintain the employee handbook and job descriptions.
- Ensure compliance with recordkeeping for I-9 documents and emergency contacts.
- Collaborate with finance to manage payroll processes.
- Facilitate employee benefits enrollment and serve as a liaison for related inquiries.
- Assist with employee surveys and manage personnel files.
- Conduct investigations related to harassment claims as necessary.
- Oversee new hire onboarding, including all necessary employment paperwork.
- Manage offboarding processes for departing employees.
- Work with the Onboarding Committee to enhance the onboarding experience.
- Perform clerical tasks such as document management and distribution.
- Maintain confidentiality of employee records.
- Assist in planning staff meetings and gatherings.
- Part-time position (up to 25 hours per week).
- Work primarily during standard business hours with occasional evening and weekend events.
The compensation package includes an hourly pay rate ranging from $26 to $28, based on experience, along with benefits for eligible part-time employees.
