Job Description

The Tax Director position involves collaborating closely with clients to provide innovative business tax planning, consulting and compliance services. Key responsibilities include reviewing and preparing federal and state individual, partnership, C corp, S corp tax returns.

  1. Interact with clients to develop timely and effective solutions for tax planning, consulting, and compliance.
  2. Review and prepare tax returns exercising professional judgment to identify issues and develop solutions.
  3. Supervise multiple engagements in corporate, partnership, and individual taxation, ensuring client satisfaction through open communication and meeting deadlines.
  4. Work with Managing Directors and staff on client management, professional development, and business development activities.
  5. Supervise staff, develop training programs, and mentor employees, including performance and engagement reviews.
  6. Attend regular professional development sessions to enhance knowledge and skills.
  7. Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements

A successful candidate must possess:

  • A Master's degree in Accounting, Taxation, or a related field.

Minimum qualifications include:

  • A Bachelor's degree is required.
  • 8 years of experience in public accounting or a related field.
  • 6 years of supervisory experience.
  • Active CPA or equivalent certification.
  • Ability to manage deadlines, work on multiple assignments, and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Proficient use of applicable technology.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate verbally and in writing throughout all levels of the organization.
  • Proven high level of business integrity, client service, and leadership skills.
  • Must be able to travel based on client and business needs.
Compensation

The estimated annual salary range for this position is $200,000-$235,000, with total compensation including comprehensive benefits and incentives.
