About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join our Intermediate Care/Progressive Care team. As an RN in this role, you will coordinate and deliver high-quality, patient-centered care, working collaboratively with medical providers to provide pre-operative and post-operative nursing care.
Your Responsibilities
- Assess, plan, and evaluate patient care needs, providing age and culturally appropriate care while carrying out physician orders.
- Administer prescribed medications, change dressings, clean wounds, monitor vital signs, and instruct and educate patients and families.
- Provide respiratory and ventilator management and monitoring for patients.
- Monitor, record, and communicate patient conditions using the Meditech computerized documentation system.
- Participate in discharge planning and support new staff through mentoring and orientation.
Requirements
- Current Indiana RN licensure or active Compact State RN license.
- Graduate from an accredited school of professional registered nursing, Associates Degree required.
- Certifications as a BLS Healthcare Provider, ACLS, NIHSS within 6 months of hire date.
- TCAT course completion within a year of employment.
- Excellent communication and critical thinking skills, crucial discernment, and ability to work in a dynamic environment.
Benefits and Compensation
We offer a comprehensive total rewards package, including competitive salary and benefits. The estimated salary range for this position is $65,000 - $85,000 per year, based on experience and qualifications.
