Endoscopy Nurse Specialist

We are seeking a Registered Nurse RN Endoscopy PRN with experience in endoscopy procedures. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, be able to work effectively in a team environment, and prioritize patient care.

• ARegistered Nurse RN Endoscopy PRN will assess patient condition during admission and each scheduled shift, promptly identifying and reporting any changes in patient status.
• The nurse will actively instructs and educates patients and their families on the Plan of Care and discharge instructions for the endoscopy procedure to be performed.
• The nurse will perform procedures, monitoring, or other functions as ordered by the medical provider(s), and ensure thorough and timely documentation of care administration in the patient's medical record.

• Administer prescribed medications, monitor the patient for therapeutic response, and take appropriate action in the event of an unintended response to the medication.
• Knows and performs techniques for specimens collection, labeling, ordering, and documenting.
• Provide exceptional care by responding promptly to patient requests, proactively anticipating patient needs, and resolving them.
• Educate patients, families, and caregivers about the patient's medical condition, treatment plan, medications, possible side effects, and follow-up measures, ensuring complete understanding by translating complex medical terminology.

• Basic Cardiac Life Support certification required.
• Must obtain ACLS certification within 6 months of employment.
• Currently licensed as an Registered Nurse in the State of Indiana or hold active Compact State Nursing license.
• Graduated of an accredited degree of RN Professional Nursing.
• Previous Endoscopy experience preferred.

We offer an estimated annual salary of $85,000-$115,000 depending on experience and qualifications.
