Position Summary:

The Director of Legal Affairs will play a crucial role in providing comprehensive legal guidance for all facets of MacDonald-Miller's commercial construction initiatives and business agreements. This position involves close collaboration with various stakeholders and senior leadership.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Contract Oversight: Draft, review, and negotiate construction contracts while ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
  • Risk Management: Lead initiatives to identify and mitigate risks associated with construction projects.
  • Legal Advisory: Provide legal counsel and manage relationships with internal teams to ensure alignment on legal matters.
  • Corporate Governance: Advise on legal aspects of business transactions and oversee the management of external legal counsel.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive legal experience in the construction sector.
  • Proven track record in litigation and dispute resolution.
  • In-depth knowledge of multi-state licensing and regulatory compliance.
  • Juris Doctor degree and admission to the relevant bar association.
