PRIMARY OBJECTIVE: As an Ophthalmic Technician at Retina Vitreous Associates, your role will involve engaging with patients, gathering essential information, and performing initial ophthalmic assessments while ensuring superior patient care and promoting a cooperative work atmosphere.

Key Responsibilities

  • Exhibit outstanding patient service during all interactions with patients, team members, and suppliers
  • Maintain a positive demeanor, adaptability in task assignments, and fulfill attendance requirements
  • Demonstrate reliability, adherence to organizational policies, and professionalism in all communications
  • Conduct comprehensive patient interviews to collect precise medical histories
  • Execute fundamental tasks such as assessing visual acuity, administering medications, and performing various ocular tests
  • Oversee equipment upkeep, examination room preparation, and compliance with health regulations

Essential Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Prior experience in a healthcare environment is preferred
  • Background in ophthalmology is highly advantageous

Additional Insights

  • Capability to assist in surgical procedures, conduct eye examinations, and carry out various ocular assessments
  • Understanding of medical protocols, CPR, human anatomy, physiology, ocular and systemic conditions, and sterile procedures
