Job Summary

Mercy Health is seeking a highly skilled Medical Assistant to join our team. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our healthcare team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with patient processing, including diagnostic procedures, and provide general clinical and clerical duties associated with direct and indirect patient care.
  • Report to the Office Manager, supervisor, physician, and/or R.N. and provide care to pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients.
  • Must possess current certification or licensure and have a minimum of 5 years of practical experience working as a Medical Assistant or be a Licensed Practical Nurse.
  • Two years of previous experience in a physician's office or ambulatory care setting is preferred.
  • Must possess strong interpersonal and communication skills and demonstrate sensitivity to the patient care situation.
  • Must be able to adjust to varying work levels and complete multiple tasks based on departmental needs.
Requirements
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office or equivalent.
  • Ability to work in a patient care environment with some exposure to communicable diseases and unpleasant odors.
  • Must be able to lift, stoop, bend, and push, and use proper body mechanics.
