Position Overview

IT Support Specialist

Delaware Nation Industries is in search of a dedicated and detail-oriented IT Support Specialist. In this role, the specialist will be tasked with monitoring, identifying, analyzing, and addressing security incidents within the organization. This position is perfect for individuals who are enthusiastic about cybersecurity and eager to advance their careers in a dynamic and supportive atmosphere.

As part of the Help Desk support function, you will deliver technical assistance and support to clients by resolving technical challenges and addressing inquiries through various communication channels. This role is suited for candidates with excellent communication abilities and a genuine interest in technology, who enjoy problem-solving and assisting others.

Requirements:
An Active Secret clearance is REQUIRED.
A Security+ Certification is REQUIRED.
This position is 100% onsite.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor security event alerts generated by various security tools.
  • Investigate and analyze security incidents to determine root cause and impact.
  • Document and escalate incidents according to established procedures.
  • Provide initial incident response and collaborate with senior analysts to resolve complex issues.
  • Maintain and enhance SOC processes and documentation.
  • Engage in threat hunting activities to proactively identify potential security issues.
  • Work collaboratively with other teams to ensure timely resolution of security incidents.
  • Stay informed about current security threats and mitigation strategies.
Qualifications

Essential Qualifications:
  • Active Secret Security Clearance.
  • Security+ certification.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or equivalent experience.
  • Understanding of network protocols and operating systems.
  • Familiarity with security technologies such as SIEM, IDS/IPS, firewalls, antivirus, etc.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Strong customer service and interpersonal skills with a patient and empathetic approach.
  • Ability to convey technical information clearly and effectively to non-technical users.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with help desk software and remote support tools.
  • Willingness to learn new technologies and adapt to evolving technical environments.
Preferred Skills:
  • Certifications in cloud computing platforms such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals (AZ-900) or Microsoft Azure Administrator Associate (AZ-104).
  • Experience with security incident response and handling.
  • Understanding of cybersecurity frameworks (e.g., NIST Cybersecurity Framework).
  • Basic scripting or programming skills (e.g., Python, PowerShell).
  • 1 year of experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) and their security controls.
  • 1-2 years of experience in a helpdesk or technical support role, preferably in a cloud computing environment.
