Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced RN Stroke Program Manager to join our team at UofL Hospital. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating and managing all clinical efforts of the multidisciplinary stroke team, ensuring daily operations are in line with The Joint Commission Stroke Center Standards.

UofL Hospital is a 404-bed academic teaching and research hospital located in downtown Louisville. We offer a range of innovative services, including a second-to-none cancer center, a world-renowned trauma team, and a uniquely streamlined, nationally accredited stroke center.

Responsibilities
  • Provide daily stroke program oversight for operations and clinical effectiveness
  • Maintain continuous readiness for TJC regulatory requirements
  • Manage, maintain, and update stroke program policies, guidelines, ordersets, and clinical practice guidelines
  • Manage and monitor the development, utilization, and revisions to stroke standards of care
  • Maintain professional affiliation with regulatory bodies and professional organizations
  • Demonstrate an advanced understanding of stroke care and related procedures
  • Promote a positive image of the stroke program by exhibiting professionalism
  • Maintain compliance with all company policies, procedures, and standards of conduct
Qualifications
  • Bachelor of science degree in nursing
  • Five (5) years of nursing experience in an ED, ICU, or neuroscience floor
  • Active Kentucky registered nurse license or compact license with privileges to work in Kentucky
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) accredited by the American Heart Association (AHA)
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) accredited by the American Heart Association (AHA)
