Stroke Care Nurse Practitioner

Position Overview:
The Advanced Practice Registered Nurse specializing in Stroke Care is pivotal in ensuring the delivery of high-quality, evidence-based healthcare to patients. This role emphasizes the importance of efficiency and positive patient outcomes. As a clinical authority within the Stroke Service Line, the Nurse Practitioner will exemplify best practices and serve as a mentor to both clinical and medical personnel.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive neurological evaluations and manage patient care effectively.
- Facilitate communication among the Stroke Team and other healthcare professionals to ensure the implementation of tailored patient care plans.
- Analyze diagnostic results and make informed decisions regarding patient treatment.
- Prescribe medications and interventions within the designated scope of practice.
- Monitor and assess patient responses to treatments, making necessary adjustments to care plans.
- Encourage and participate in research initiatives and educational activities.
Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Nursing from an accredited institution.
- At least one (1) year of experience as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse.
- Current licensure as an APRN in the state of Kentucky.
- National certification as an Adult Nurse Practitioner, Emergency Nurse Practitioner, Family Nurse Practitioner, or Acute Care Nurse Practitioner.
- Possession of a current DEA certificate without restrictions.
