We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Global IT Infrastructure and Operations Leader to join our team at Allison Transmission. As a key member of our IT leadership team, you will be responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive IT infrastructure and operations strategy that aligns with our business objectives.
Key Responsibilities- Establish and execute the mission, vision, and strategy for IT infrastructure and operations across the globe.
- Create a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continual service improvement to improve the efficiency of IT infrastructure and operations capabilities.
- Work collaboratively on the portfolio of services and governance needed to prioritize resources.
- Lead a group of global professional and technical employees, as well as third-party service providers to deliver IT operational excellence.
- Manage the full lifecycle of IT services in close collaboration with product and service owners to ensure business value is being realized and to measure and prioritize technical debt remediation.
- Build successful relationships with key stakeholders to deliver IT services in a cost-effective and efficient manner.
- Work collaboratively with the architecture team to ensure required business outcomes are linked to future-state business capabilities and that solutions are aligned to the enterprise architecture framework and standards.
- Develop and control the annual IT infrastructure and operations budget in collaboration with the IT finance manager and drive continual cost optimization.
- Establish and manage integrated IT Service Management capabilities based on best practices and the use of key performance indicators and outcome-driven metrics.
- Work directly with the Program & Project Management Office (PMO) on the delivery projects and products that are focused on business value delivery.
- Collaborate with the Chief Information Security Office (CISO) to ensure products and services meet security standards, that effective controls for processes and functions are established and managed, and supports compliance and audit requirements.
- Improve IT resilience by improving IT availability, reliability, and disaster recovery readiness.
- Design and develop a strong global IT operations team and reporting structure with the necessary skills and abilities.
- Direct the development of an IT operations sourcing strategy and provide leadership oversight for vendor relationship management.
- Required:
- Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, information technology/systems, business administration, related field, or equivalent work experience.
- 15 years previous experience in IT or business/industry.
- 12+ years in management, with proven leader responsibility for managing large and complex infrastructure and operations teams, including strategy, budgeting, and staffing.
- Preferred:
- ITIL v3/v4 certification.
This role will have global responsibility for IT infrastructure and operations, participation in IT strategy formation, support of all IT projects globally, and very wide range of application & infrastructure technology knowledge.
