Job Summary

The Bloomberg Harvard City Leadership Initiative is seeking a Program Coordinator to support the City Support team in the high-level administrative tasks related to program delivery and design. This role is crucial to ensuring the smooth operation of programs. The successful candidate will be responsible for a wide range of tasks, including coordinating and tracking program activities across a diverse portfolio, drafting, developing and updating program materials and conducting program-specific research. The Program Coordinator will be in a unique position to develop expertise about city leaders across the world. The successful candidate will work on a variety of leadership development programs, support work directly related to cities and be a key member of the City Support team.

Responsibilities
  • Support program directors in managing multiple projects.
  • Set up and maintain activity tracking to take a view across the City Support portfolio to ensure smooth operation and early detection of risk.
  • Coordinate outreach, applications, and follow up with city participants.
  • Meet regularly with the Program Director(s) to share updates on program status across the program director's portfolio.

Requirements
  • 3+ years of professional experience in program coordination, project management, or research/administrative support.
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (Business Administration, Public Administration, Nonprofit Management, other Social Sciences) strongly preferred.
  • Proficiency with customer relationship management systems, especially Salesforce, a plus.
  • Proven organizational and project management ability.
  • Creative problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to navigate ambiguity and build structure for oneself.
  • Team player with skill in building and managing relationships with a wide range of stakeholders.
  • Strong customer service orientation and persistent follow-through in service of clients.
  • The ability to communicate persuasively, concisely, and clearly in speech and writing.
  • Entrepreneurial with an enthusiasm for doing whatever it takes to get the job done.

Work Format Details
This is a hybrid position that is based in Massachusetts. Additional details will be discussed during the interview process. All remote work must be performed within one of the Harvard Registered Payroll States, which currently includes Massachusetts, Connecticut, Maine, New Hampshire, Rhode Island, Vermont, Georgia, Illinois, Maryland, New Jersey, New York, Virginia, Washington, and California (CA for exempt positions only).
