Cyber Security Innovations (CSI) is in search of a FedRAMP/Cloud ISSO SME with a robust background in FISMA compliance within the federal sector. The Information System Security Officer (ISSO) will oversee Security Authorization tasks for CSI's clientele, adhering to the guidelines set forth by the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) 800 series. The ideal candidate will coordinate activities related to the preparation and planning of security documentation pertinent to the system authorization procedure. A deep understanding of cloud infrastructures and FedRAMP methodologies is essential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Draft and revise security documentation for information systems, including Security Plans, Contingency Plans, and Business Impact Analyses.
- Ensure systems are properly patched and fortified against vulnerabilities.
- Oversee the remediation process for Plans of Action and Milestones (POA&M) in collaboration with various teams.
- Support and facilitate the Ongoing Authorization Program.
- Communicate complex technical information effectively to non-technical stakeholders.
- Execute ISSO duties, including approving change requests, reviewing audit logs, and analyzing vulnerability assessments.
- Develop waivers and exceptions for identified information system vulnerabilities.
- Collaborate with clients to create capabilities, presentations, and briefings.
- Provide security recommendations to the Risk Management Branch Chief.
Essential Skills and Qualifications:
- U.S. Citizenship with the ability to obtain an agency-specific suitability/public trust clearance.
- Proximity to the client's location to accommodate a hybrid work schedule.
- Current certifications such as CASP, GSEC, GSLC, CISSP, CEH, CISM, CISA, or equivalent.
- Active certification in AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Experience guiding systems through the FedRAMP ATO process.
- Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Over 7 years of total work experience, with at least 4 years in technical roles involving databases, networks, and cloud platforms.
- Proficiency in applying cloud security principles and managing cloud environments.
- Familiarity with Agile or DevOps methodologies for development and deployment.
- Systems Administration experience in Linux/Unix environments.
- Knowledge of networking protocols and troubleshooting IT issues.
- Ability to conduct risk assessments of FedRAMP tools and services.
Preferred Skills and Experience:
- Experience with containerization and serverless technologies.
- Proficiency in developing DevOps methodologies using orchestration tools.
- Engineering experience with cloud systems, particularly AWS, Google, or Azure.
- Experience with CI/CD processes and deployment pipelines.
- Familiarity with programming languages such as Python or Java.
- Ability to provide security insights during change management processes.
- Extensive knowledge of vulnerability scanning tools.
