Nurse Practitioner

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our team at Ascension Borgess Hospital in Kalamazoo, Michigan. As a Registered Nurse, you will provide high-quality patient care and work collaboratively with our healthcare team to ensure the best possible outcomes for our patients.
Responsibilities- Provide professional nursing care to patients, including assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and evaluation of patient responses to care.
- Collaborate with patients and their families to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Participate in open discussion with the healthcare team to identify mutual goals and develop strategies to achieve them.
- Diagnose, treat, and evaluate the human response to actual or potential health problems/needs.
- Assess, detect, monitor, and attempt to prevent complications associated with health situations or treatment plans.
- Notify the physician of patient condition and response to nursing intervention appropriately and document this action.
- Ensure that patient's pain is assessed, treated, reassessed, documented, and evaluated.
- Responsible for delegation to other licensed and unlicensed care providers based on clinical nursing judgment and skill of the care provider.
- Licensure/Certification/Registration: Advanced Life Support credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) obtained within 12 months of hire date or job transfer date required. BLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) obtained within 1 month of hire date or job transfer date required. Licensed Registered Nurse obtained within 3 months of hire date or job transfer date required.
- Education: The Registered Nurse must have an Associate's of Applied Science in Nursing (AAS) Degree or Bachelor's of Science in Nursing (BSN) or RN Diploma at start date required. BSN is required within six (6) years of start date. Incumbents hired into position prior to 1/1/2015 are grandfathered with their existing educational degrees.
- Work Experience: Cardiac experience preferred.
2 years nursing experience preferred. ACLS.
