Position Summary

We are seeking an individual who is eager to contribute positively and thinks creatively. This role involves supporting and documenting integrated audio-visual system projects.

Key Responsibilities

1. Provide technical guidance throughout the project lifecycle, from award to installation and completion.
2. Review the Scope of Work (SOW) to ensure it meets quality standards and completeness.
3. Assess hour estimations based on the needs analysis and bid requirements.
4. Create engineering and architectural drawings, including calculations and acoustical modeling as necessary.
5. Identify and resolve technical or logistical challenges that may impede project delivery.
6. Determine special project requirements, including:
   a. Test equipment
   b. Specialized tools
   c. Rigging support
7. Test audio DSP or video processing systems to ensure software functionality.
8. Provide engineering support to the installation team as required.
9. Oversee the commissioning of systems both in-house and on-site.
10. Meet with vendors to evaluate products.
11. Deliver weekly project updates to the Project Manager.
12. Assist the Project Manager in monitoring the project budget.
13. Design wall plates and overlays.
14. Test integrated systems and troubleshoot as necessary.
15. Support the installation team with engineering and DSP system programming.
16. Collaborate with the Project Manager to secure necessary personnel for installation.
17. Aid in the project hand-off to the installation team when required.
18. Provide documented test results from system testing and commissioning to the Project Manager.
19. Review project designs from internal and external sources and submit to the CAD department.
20. Revise shop drawings to 'as-built' status for submission to the CAD department.
21. Perform other duties as assigned.

Travel Requirements

Willingness to travel to various job sites is necessary.

Skills and Qualifications

- Strong communication skills to interact professionally with clients and colleagues.
- Proficient business writing skills.
- Familiarity with test and calibration equipment.
- Ability to support user acceptance testing.
- Capable of diagnosing complex system issues.
- Advanced computer skills for AV equipment design and operation.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
- Valid Driver's License with a Motor Vehicle Record that meets AVI-SPL standards.

Education and Experience

- High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
- Formal education in Electronics or a related field is preferred.
- A minimum of two years of AV experience is preferred.
- A four-year degree or military experience is a plus.

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate should possess 1-2 years of A/V experience and be proficient in AutoCAD.
