Position Summary
We are seeking an enthusiastic individual to assist in the management and documentation of integrated audio-visual system projects.
Key Responsibilities
1. Provide technical guidance throughout the project lifecycle, from award to installation and completion.
2. Review the Scope of Work (SOW) to ensure thoroughness and quality.
3. Assess hour estimations based on the needs analysis and bid requirements.
4. Create engineering and architectural drawings, including RCP and floor plans, as well as perform acoustical modeling as necessary.
5. Identify and resolve technical or logistical challenges that may hinder project execution.
6. Determine specific project requirements, including:
- Test equipment
- Specialized tools
- Rigging support
7. Conduct testing of audio DSP or video processing systems to ensure functionality.
8. Offer engineering support to the installation team as required.
9. Oversee the commissioning of systems both in-house and on-site.
10. Collaborate with current and prospective vendors to evaluate products.
11. Provide weekly updates to the Project Manager regarding project status.
12. Assist the Project Manager in tracking project budgets.
13. Design wall plates and overlays as needed.
14. Test integrated systems and troubleshoot issues as they arise.
15. Support the installation team with engineering and DSP system programming when necessary.
16. Work with the Project Manager to secure necessary personnel for installations.
17. Aid in the project hand-off to the installation team when required.
18. Deliver documented test results from system testing and commissioning to the Project Manager.
19. Review designs from internal and external resources and coordinate with the CAD department.
20. Revise shop drawings to reflect 'as-built' status for submission to the CAD department.
21. Perform other duties as assigned.
Travel Requirements
Willingness to travel to various job sites is essential.
Qualifications
- Excellent communication skills to interact professionally with clients and colleagues.
- Strong business writing abilities.
- Familiarity with test and calibration equipment.
- Experience in user acceptance testing.
- Capability to diagnose complex system issues.
- Advanced computer skills relevant to AV equipment design and operation.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
- Valid Driver's License with a clean Motor Vehicle Record that aligns with AVI-SPL's standards.
Education and Experience
- High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
- Formal education in Electronics or a related field is preferred.
- A minimum of two years of experience in the AV industry is advantageous.
- A four-year degree or military experience is also considered valuable.
