Position Overview:

The Risk Management Professional is responsible for implementing analytical risk management strategies that assist organizations in achieving mission assurance. This role involves preparing for, preventing, mitigating, responding to, and recovering from emergencies. The individual will utilize advanced consulting skills and extensive technical knowledge to develop innovative solutions to complex challenges while working independently and mentoring team members.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the application of risk management principles and methodologies to enhance organizational resilience.
  • Utilize extensive knowledge of risk management tools and processes to identify, assess, and mitigate risks effectively.
  • Analyze intricate situations to formulate creative solutions for risk identification, monitoring, and control.
  • Maintain up-to-date documentation of all risk management activities, ensuring accessibility and accuracy of the risk register.
  • Collaborate with program teams to seamlessly integrate risk management into all phases of program planning and execution.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 7 years of experience in Risk Management or Program Management.
  • Proven knowledge of risk management methodologies and program management principles.
  • Possession of a Secret clearance is mandatory.
  • A Bachelor’s degree is required.
  • Certification as a Risk Management Professional or DAWIA is preferred.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience in Risk Management within the Department of Defense or federal agencies.
  • Ability to document and maintain comprehensive risk-related documentation.
  • Strong collaborative skills to work effectively with diverse program teams.

Security Clearance:

Applicants will undergo a security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; a Secret clearance is essential.

Compensation and Benefits:

The compensation range for this position is projected between $75,600.00 and $172,000.00 annually, depending on various factors including location and individual qualifications.
