HVAC Systems Specialist

You will be responsible for overseeing and maintaining the ship's ventilation systems, primary AC water chiller systems, and domestic refrigeration units to ensure our luxury vessels are as safe and efficient as possible. This position allows you to explore diverse locations, experience new cultures, and gain unforgettable memories.

Utilizing your ventilation expertise, you will be expected to promptly address defects, prioritize tasks, and ensure that all work is conducted safely, efficiently, and in compliance with current safety and company regulations. You will collaborate with the Electro-Technical department to uphold the asset management plan, ensuring the ship meets the operational needs of the business while fostering the development of the ventilation team.

With a solid background in the refrigeration and ventilation industry, you should ideally possess a relevant Refrigeration Qualification (e.g., City and Guilds or NVQ3). Your organizational skills and ability to remain composed under pressure are essential, as is your comfort in engaging with a diverse range of individuals, from colleagues to passengers. In a role critical to enhancing onboard quality of life, your commitment to customer service will be unparalleled.

Qualifications Summary of Requirements:
  • Desirable Refrigeration Qualification (e.g., City and Guilds or NVQ3)
  • Proven experience in the refrigeration sector is advantageous
  • Experience in ventilation systems is beneficial
  • Proficient command of written and spoken English, with a passed Marlins English test of Proficiency (if applicable)
  • F-gas Certification
  • Valid ENG1 medical certificate or equivalent for the duration of each voyage

While experience aboard a cruise ship is desirable, it is not mandatory. We prioritize hiring individuals with the right attitudes and strengths over specific competencies.

In addition to a robust technical foundation, you should enjoy problem-solving, hands-on tasks, and be self-motivated and reliable, always eager to take on additional responsibilities and assist others.
