Physical IT Security Analyst

About the Role

The Physical IT Security Analyst plays a crucial role in supporting the Physical Security Manager in the upkeep and functionality of Access Control and Physical Security Systems.

This position involves collaborating with various departments to ensure the effective maintenance and repair of physical security systems, including card access controls and surveillance devices.

The analyst will also serve as an administrative assistant, overseeing the university's card access system and managing related databases and applications.


Key Responsibilities

System Maintenance: Assist in troubleshooting and repairing door access systems, surveillance equipment, and related software applications.

Technical Support: Provide expert consultation and recommendations for new hardware and software solutions.

Policy Review: Evaluate and suggest improvements to policies and procedures concerning physical security measures.

Collaborative Assistance: Work alongside the JagCard office to manage customer access requests efficiently.

Additional Duties: Perform other related tasks as assigned by the Physical Security Manager.


Qualifications

Applicants should possess an Associate's degree or equivalent experience in physical security applications, including access control and video surveillance systems.

Preferred candidates will have a background in Electrical and Computer Engineering Technology, with hands-on experience in installing and maintaining security systems.


Skills and Abilities

Candidates must demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Office and possess strong problem-solving skills. Excellent communication abilities and attention to detail are essential.

Successful applicants will be capable of maintaining confidentiality and managing complex records while performing effectively under pressure.


Work Schedule and Compensation

This position typically follows a Monday to Friday schedule during daytime hours.

Compensation will be based on qualifications and experience, with a competitive hourly rate.
