Job Summary

As a key member of the security team, you will assist in the oversight and functionality of access control and physical security systems. Your role will involve supporting the Physical Security Manager in ensuring the integrity and operational efficiency of security measures across the institution.

Key Responsibilities

  • Troubleshooting: Diagnose and repair issues related to door access systems, surveillance equipment, and badge hardware. Address software challenges associated with access control systems.
  • Technical Consulting: Offer expert advice, recommendations, and cost estimates for the implementation of new hardware and software solutions.
  • Risk Management: Evaluate and propose enhancements to policies and procedures that govern physical security protocols.
  • Assistance: Collaborate with the JagCard office to manage customer access rights, including granting and revoking permissions as necessary.
  • Other Duties: Undertake additional responsibilities as assigned to support the security operations.

Qualifications

Applicants should possess an Associate's degree from an accredited institution or have completed 60 semester hours in a relevant field, alongside a minimum of one year of experience in physical security applications, including access control and surveillance systems.

Preferred Qualifications: An Associate's degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering Technology is highly desirable, along with experience in the installation and maintenance of security systems and knowledge of standard law enforcement practices.


Skills and Abilities

Proficiency in Microsoft Office and various database applications is essential. Candidates should demonstrate strong problem-solving skills, excellent communication abilities, and a keen attention to detail.

Successful candidates will be able to maintain confidentiality, manage complex records, and perform effectively under pressure while exercising sound judgment in decision-making.
