Key Responsibilities:


The Information Security Specialist evaluates security measures for diverse systems and performs assessments of information system elements, management, and architecture, concentrating on information security considerations and accreditation in accordance with the NIST Risk Management Framework.

The individual will analyze program documentation such as Risk Assessments, Security Plans, and Contingency Plans, ensuring timely documentation of control reviews and findings as per client specifications.

The Information Security Specialist carries out continuous evaluations of contractor facilities as necessary to confirm adherence to security standards, customizing requirements as needed.

The candidate must possess the capability to interpret controls and apply them across various implementations. Additional support tasks may be required as necessary.

Essential Qualifications:
TS/SCI Clearance Required, CI Polygraph Eligible
A minimum of 6 years of overall experience
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or a related technical discipline
4 years in Cyber Network Defense operational and/or analytical roles
4-8 years of experience with Federal Accreditation testing
Experience in Incident Response and familiarity with cyber security tactics, techniques, and procedures
SOC and/or CIRT operational experience
Experience with classified networks
Expertise in enterprise audit aggregation, logging, and analysis
Proficiency in network scanning tools (e.g., DISA ACAS)
Knowledge of NIST and ICD 503 standards
Experience with Network LAN and Virtual Hosting
DOD 8570 certification
Document control reviews and findings as they arise according to client specifications.
The candidate must be an effective communicator (both written and verbal) and able to collaborate with a team as well as work independently.
Experience in report writing
Understanding of Privacy Concepts
Familiarity with information management and protection systems (AV, Patch management, etc.)
Utilization of various information system inspection tools to audit systems, analyze potential vulnerabilities, and identify mitigation strategies
Interviewing skills
Comprehension of security control principles
Awareness of program security and information systems security best practices
The ideal candidate will be self-driven, a team-oriented individual, organized, and detail-focused.
Must be a U.S. Citizen.
