Position Overview
Marcum Search is in search of a Partner to enhance our expanding and well-respected Assurance Department. The selected candidate will oversee assurance engagements and serve as a role model and leader for staff to follow.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate various planning phases of engagements and ensure timely completion of work
  • Develop budgets for engagements
  • Maintain profitable realization rates
  • Review and assess work papers, ensuring compliance with professional standards and firm policies
  • Evaluate reports and financial statements
  • Discuss significant findings with the engagement partner that may raise questions regarding auditing standards and firm policies
  • Manage risk and ensure adherence to quality control procedures
  • Participate in practice development and oversee multiple engagements
  • Assume responsibility for billing and collections when appropriate
  • Foster positive working relationships with client management
  • Provide on-the-job training to junior staff
Additional Responsibilities
  • Generate new business annually from both new and existing clients
  • Represent the firm by presenting on areas of expertise at external events
  • Effectively manage employee and client expectations
  • Conduct performance evaluations in a constructive and timely manner, providing ongoing feedback to employees
  • Maintain required annual Continuing Professional Education (CPE) credits
  • Engage in firm-sponsored activities
  • Support staff development by actively participating in the firm’s learning and development initiatives
Qualifications
  • BBA/BS/MS in Accounting
  • Must hold a valid CPA license
  • 10+ years of relevant experience
  • Ability to communicate professional and technical knowledge effectively
  • Strong business advisory skills
  • Ability to identify and implement solutions to complex problems
  • Thorough understanding of intricate technical issues
  • Ability to meet deadlines with precision
  • Advanced knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and tax law
