Job Summary

Truvian Sciences is seeking a highly motivated Quality Control Associate I/II to join our Quality Control team. This position is responsible for ensuring the quality of our products by performing in-process testing of bulk materials and finished products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform various laboratory tasks within a team environment, including testing on our automated blood testing platform.
  • Operate laboratory equipment, assemble test parts as required, and document observations and test results.
  • Collaborate with scientists and engineers to execute experiments and troubleshoot issues.
  • Ensure compliance with current Good Manufacturing Practices and other regulatory requirements.
  • Implement and maintain our company's standard operating procedures for Quality Control.
  • Develop and use systems for anticipating and recognizing errors, and resolve discrepancies and report results.
  • Prepare investigation summaries and reports, and create, revise, and update standard operating procedures as needed.
  • Contribute to special troubleshooting projects and assay validations.
  • Work cross-functionally to release products and resolve problems efficiently.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in biology, chemistry, or biochemistry, with 2-5 years of experience (equivalent experience will also be considered).
  • Familiarity with quality testing methods and proficiency in using them, with knowledge of quality management system standards.
  • Excellent organization and prioritization skills, with strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Superb attention to detail and ability to carefully follow instructions.
  • Must be flexible, forward-thinking, motivated, and able to act independently.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive task completion to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to check for defects and identify and distinguish between colors.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.

  • A competitive salary range of $60,000 to $67,000 for QC Associate I, and $72,000 to $81,000 for QC Associate II.

Physical Demands and Abilities
  • Regularly required to use hands to finger, handle or feel, reach with hands and arms, and talk or hear.
  • Ability to lift and move over 25 lbs. repeatedly and safely, occasionally 75 lbs. with assistance.
  • Frequently required to stand or sit for long periods.
  • Specific vision abilities required for this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust and focus.
