JOB SUMMARY: The role involves the stewardship and upkeep of the farm associated with the agriscience program, which includes the care of animals, management of greenhouses, and land utilization for educational purposes. The position emphasizes the ethical treatment of livestock and serves as a vital resource for the agriscience curriculum.

QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Understanding of large livestock management, pasture rotation, and record-keeping for agricultural operations.
2. Experience in the maintenance and care of both large and small animals, including:
  • Feeding a variety of species (horses, cattle, goats, chickens, guinea pigs, rabbits, etc.)
  • Cleaning and maintaining animal enclosures and habitats
  • Supervising the outdoor activities of various large animal species
3. Proficient in handling, leading, and monitoring the health of different animal species.
4. Attentive to facility maintenance and capable of identifying mechanical, animal, or plant-related issues.
5. Ability to lift at least 50 pounds.
6. Strong communication skills and ability to adhere to instructions.
7. Knowledge of basic first aid applicable to various animal species.

TERM OF EMPLOYMENT: Part-time position requiring five hours of work per week on weekdays (Monday to Friday).
