Agricultural Trade Specialist

The Foreign Agricultural Service is seeking a highly skilled professional to serve as an agricultural trade specialist. This role will involve providing expertise on international trade issues, analyzing market trends, and developing strategies to enhance export opportunities and global food security.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement projects to support the adoption of science-based regulatory systems and standards.
- Conduct assessments and develop interpretations of international trade issues, conditions, or events to inform decision-making and policy formulation.
- Analyze and interpret international trade data and legal issues to inform financial, political, economic, and scientific considerations.
- Provide expert advice to federal and state agencies, the academic community, industry, and scientific and regulatory review boards.
Requirements:
- Master's or equivalent graduate degree in a relevant field, such as marketing, business administration, or international relations.
- At least one year of specialized experience in international trade, marketing, or technical assistance, including analysis of key trade and competitiveness issues.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to conduct research, gather data, and compile information.
Additional Information:
This position may be eligible for telework and flexible work arrangements. The selected candidate will be required to undergo a background investigation and obtain a security clearance.
