Transformative Opportunity in Credit Compliance and Strategic Initiatives

Zions Bancorporation, a premier financial services company, is seeking a highly motivated Compliance Specialist Intern to join our Credit Compliance and Strategic Initiatives team. As a key member of our team, you will collaborate with dedicated professionals to ensure quality assurance while implementing regulatory change.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate pre-implementation testing of the Small Business Lending Data Collection Rule (Section 1071) across the Zions Bancorp footprint
  • Participate in staff training, including development and coordination of training efforts for 1071
  • Develop implementation efficiencies related to quality assurance and testing of the 1071 data collection process from end to end
  • Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
  • Experience in working with Microsoft Office Suite (i.e., Excel, Vizio, Word, Teams, PowerPoint). Experience working with Microsoft Azure is preferred, but not required. Any additional experience with other project management tools will be helpful but not required
  • Collaborate with front line, middle office, compliance and various other teams to assess implementation readiness of 1071
  • Assist in the coordination of reviews, and impact analysis of regulatory requirements and industry enforcement actions
  • Provide subject matter expertise on compliance and risk topics as assigned
Additional Qualifications:
  • Must be working toward Bachelor's or Master's degree in in Project Management, Business Administration, Finance, Business Information Systems, or other related field. An applicant with pre-law background with an intent to go into law school would also be applicable
