Job Summary

PacifiCorp is seeking a highly skilled Environmental Compliance Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our environmental team, you will be responsible for ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local environmental regulations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct environmental compliance reviews of electric utility transmission, distribution, and substation construction and maintenance projects.
  • Provide environmental support, training, and guidance related to utility operations and federal, state, and local environmental regulations.
  • Coordinate with internal departments on environmental permitting of projects, procure consultants, and ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Develop and/or review environmental documents, employee training, reporting, and other job-related duties.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Biological Sciences or Environmental Sciences; or the equivalent combination of related education and experience.
  • Knowledge and understanding of environmental issues and the company's business processes.
  • Data gathering, analysis, and interpretation skills.
  • Writing skills.
  • Knowledge of applicable federal, state, and local governmental environmental laws and regulations.
  • Proficient with the use of personal computers, including spreadsheet, database, word processing, and presentation applications.
  • Communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to consult with internal and external customers regarding matters/issues that may be sensitive in nature.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Three years of experience in environmental or regulatory matters.
  • Experience with environmental monitoring and reporting.
  • Knowledge of natural resource issues related to the energy industry.
