Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Business Development Representative to join our team at Activar. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with our business-to-business customers, providing exceptional customer service, and driving sales growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers and customers, acting as a liaison and single point of contact for major commercial and industrial accounts.
  • Identify and develop new business opportunities, extending initiatives with the company and facilitating programs to gather requirements and features from customers.
  • Responsible for managing and growing existing customer accounts through effective methodologies, developing exceptional partnerships with primary contacts.
  • Communicate in a professional and effective manner with all customers and potential customers, utilizing various channels such as phone calls, email, mailings, and person-to-person opportunities.
  • Partner with internal functions, including customer service, supply chain, and other departments, to ensure quality, service, price, and delivery.
  • Develop and deliver sales presentations, displays, and demonstrations of products, utilizing samples, vendors, websites, and other resources.
  • Maintain up-to-date awareness of company initiatives and industry trends, adhering to and promoting all company standards and policies.
  • Perform special projects as assigned by management.
Requirements
  • High School diploma or GED.
  • 5+ years of sales experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong organizational skills, ability to manage multiple tasks with attention to detail.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose operations problems/issues, comprehension of the company's products and processes.
  • Experience with ERP/materials management processes and systems.
  • Ability to travel up to 25% of the time.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or related field.
  • Knowledge of plastics industry.
