Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Commercial Insurance Client Account Specialist to join our team at McGriff Insurance Services. As a key member of our sales and service teams, you will be responsible for building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, vendors, and teammates by providing exceptional internal and external service support.

Key Responsibilities
  • Process new and renewal business within established timelines and quality standards, including updating and maintaining client information in our management system.
  • Escalate complex issues to internal contacts according to department standards.
  • Provide timely information to clients, including plan details, rates, contributions, and carrier contacts.
  • Set up policy notebooks for delivery to clients and assemble proposals and presentations for client and prospect meetings.
  • Address and resolve client questions and issues.
  • Assist in preparing new and renewal proposals, stewardship reports, service plans, comparisons, and presentations.
  • Support the service and production teams in achieving overall agency revenue and retention goals.
  • Maintain daily client processing functions, including endorsements, policies, audits, pending cancellations, and ID cards.
  • Assist with marketing efforts as needed.
  • Take reports and monitor claims (if applicable).
  • Document member and client communications in our client management services tool according to department standards.
  • Prepare presentations, spreadsheets, direct bill, accounting discrepancies, and other communications based on internal team and client needs.
  • Assist clients with claims resolution.
  • Participate in company-sponsored seminars, training workshops, and webinars to enhance industry knowledge and education.
Requirements
  • Assignment based on minimal experience and production capacity to service a midsize book of business.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in computer applications, including Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong organizational and project skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills (written and verbal).
  • Ability to act with responsiveness, urgency, and professionalism in all matters.
  • Prioritize work to achieve timely completion of critical and sensitive activities.
  • Respond quickly to client requests and provide appropriate information.
  • Accept accountability for the quality of work.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Five years of industry-specific experience.
  • LOB designations.
  • Property & Casualty Insurance License.
Benefits

As a regular teammate working 20 hours or more per week, you will be eligible for benefits, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, disability, accidental death and dismemberment, tax-preferred savings accounts, and a 401k plan. You will also receive at least 10 days of vacation and 10 sick days during your first year of employment, along with paid holidays. Depending on the position and division, this job may also be eligible for TIH's defined benefit pension plan, restricted stock units, and/or a deferred compensation plan.
