Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Commercial Insurance Client Account Specialist to join our team at TIH Insurance. As a key member of our sales and service teams, you will be responsible for building and maintaining professional relationships with clients, vendors, and teammates by providing exceptional internal and external service support.

Key Responsibilities
  • Process new and renewal business within established timelines and quality standards, including updating and maintaining information in our client management system.
  • Escalate complex issues to the applicable internal contact, ensuring timely resolution and client satisfaction.
  • Provide clients with timely information, including plan details, rates, contributions, and carrier contacts.
  • Set up policy notebooks for delivery to clients, assemble proposals and presentations for client and prospect meetings, and address client questions and issues.
  • Assist in preparing new and renewal proposals, stewardship reports, service plans, comparisons, and presentations, demonstrating creativity in style.
  • Support the service and production teams in achieving overall agency revenue and retention goals.
  • Maintain daily client processing functions, including endorsements, policies, audits, pending cancellations, and ID cards.
  • Assist with marketing efforts, as needed, and take reports and monitor claims (if applicable).
  • Document member and client communications in our client management services tool, according to department standards.
  • Prepare presentations, spreadsheets, direct bill, accounting discrepancies, and other communications based on the needs of the internal team and clients.
  • Assist clients with claims resolution and participate in company-sponsored seminars, training workshops, and webinars to enhance industry knowledge and education.
Qualifications
  • Assignment based primarily on the individual's minimal level of experience and production capacity to service a midsize book of business.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in computer applications, such as Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong organizational and project skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills (written and verbal).
  • Ability to act with responsiveness, urgency, and professionalism in all matters.
  • Prioritize work to achieve timely completion of critical and sensitive activities.
  • Respond quickly to client requests and provide appropriate information.
  • Accept accountability for the quality of work.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Five years of industry-specific experience.
  • LOB designations.
  • Property & Casualty Insurance License.
