Position Overview:

Membership Consultants serve as the primary advocates for ArchWell Health, expanding our patient base within the communities we serve. As external healthcare sales professionals, we strive to ensure that all seniors who could benefit from high-quality medical care—regardless of their financial situation—are reached, inspired, and assisted in joining our medical facilities. Whether interacting directly with seniors in the community, organizing events to connect seniors, or establishing effective partnerships with patient referral sources, our Membership Consultants are proactive and visible members of the community, ensuring seniors access the care they require. This role combines traditional B2C and B2B sales skills with effective community engagement, problem-solving, and organizational abilities in a genuinely fulfilling, multi-channel growth position. Previous experience in Medicare Advantage sales or working with seniors is advantageous but not mandatory; we welcome talented sales professionals from diverse backgrounds.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drives patient enrollment throughout the year by identifying, nurturing, and securing new patients through direct-to-consumer, business-to-business, and community stakeholder relationships.
  • Engages with individual seniors and groups in various community settings to promote the ArchWell Health mission and value proposition for seniors.
  • Plans, coordinates, and executes local community events and activities to attract our ideal patients (e.g., medically underserved, Medicare-eligible seniors).
  • Builds relationships with health plan agents, independent brokers, social workers, case workers, senior housing managers, and community providers to position ArchWell Health as their preferred provider for senior healthcare.
  • Collaborates with ArchWell Health Community Relations on initiatives involving community leaders, businesses, and public health programs to effectively drive new patient growth.
    • Works with health plan agents and brokers to ensure prospective patients are enrolled in an accepted health plan and assigned to ArchWell Health promptly.
    • Utilizes sales and marketing tools (e.g., Salesforce) to identify and cultivate new patients, maintain current prospect information, and document sales interactions.
    • Provides a monthly activity calendar reflecting community access points and venues. Develops penetration plans and initiatives in target sub-markets and channels.
    • Engages with new patients beyond their initial appointment. Maintains relationships with enrolled patients to positively influence retention. Addresses and resolves customer complaints and issues.
    • Travel Required: Minimal outside of local market (under 10%).
Preferred Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree is a plus.
  • 1 year of Sales or Community Relations experience required; 2+ years preferred.
  • Experience with a health plan, FMO/benefits broker, or provider is preferred.
  • Experience working with or selling to the senior community or medically underserved populations is preferred.
  • Valid driver's license (required).
